Partner Terms

We split every license, Skills Pack and Pro upgrade you refer 50/50 with you. At today's prices that's $24.50 on a $49 license, $14.50 on a $29 Skills Pack and $48.50 on a $97 Pro upgrade.

Your share of credits is 20% of everything your buyers spend on credits for 12 months from their first payment. That's $20 on every $100 they spend.

You earn on what the buyer actually paid, so a sale at a promotional price can pay less.

Private last-chance discounts aren't part of the split.

What earns is what this page lists on the day of the sale.

When someone clicks your link, we save a cookie in their browser for 60 days. If they buy within those 60 days, the sale is yours.

If they click another partner's link after yours before their first purchase, the newest click gets the sale.

Once someone buys through your link, they're your buyer. Every license, Skills Pack and Pro upgrade they buy later earns for you, and so does their credit spend for 12 months from their first payment. That holds even when they buy later on another device or through someone else's link.

If that first purchase is fully refunded or charged back, they're no longer your buyer.

Your own purchases don't earn, even through your own link.

Your link looks like slates.video/yourname. Adding ?via=yourname to any slates.video page works the same way.

Each earning pays after 30 days. If the buyer gets a refund or files a chargeback before then, that earning is cancelled.

If a refund or chargeback comes after the earning was paid, that amount comes off your next payout.

We send payouts every week to every partner with at least $25 ready to pay. Less than $25 rolls over to the next week.

You pick how you're paid, by bank deposit through Stripe, PayPal or Venmo. You can change it any time on the Partner tab.

We hold back 10% of each payout for 120 days in case of card disputes, then pay it to you.

Fees for sending your payout, like PayPal or currency conversion fees, come off the payout.

Earnings stay in the currency your buyer paid in, and each currency is paid out on its own.

If you're a US person for tax, we need a W-9 from you before we can send your first payout.

We don't take tax out of your payouts. Tax on what you earn is yours to report where you live.

When you join, you give Slates a free, worldwide license to use any video you post that was made with Slates in our ads and marketing. That includes your name, face and voice in those videos.

If we ask, you'll also give us access to run that video as an ad from your own account, like a Meta partnership ad or a TikTok Spark code.

When you share your link, say that you earn from it, like "I earn from purchases through this link." The FTC requires that in the US.

We can change these terms. When we do, we'll email you before the change takes effect and update this page.
