Wispr Flow charges $14/month because their model lives on their servers — every transcription costs them GPU time. Whisper Hotkey runs entirely on your machine. Their cost structure forces a subscription. Ours doesn't.

Privacy by default

Your voice never leaves your computer. Not "anonymized." Not "encrypted in transit." Never sent. The audio buffer goes straight from your mic into Whisper.cpp, which runs on your hardware.

Works offline

Plane, train, hotel wifi — same speed, same accuracy. The model is bundled into the installer (~150MB). You only need internet for the initial license activation.
